As humans, our ability to create habits is incredible. Habits can help us achieve our goals, learn new skills, improve our health & wellbeing so we can live a full and embodied life. The flipside is that they can also keep us stuck, repeating unwanted behaviours that leave us feeling tired, stressed & anxious.
Often, we underestimate how many of our habits are created and sustained unconsciously - meaning without us even being aware we’re doing them.
In these sessions Emma will be chatting about the aspects of us that make us uniquely human, and why it can be so hard to break a habit & create a new one. At the foundation of change is Awareness. The ability to listen inwardly, to notice and witness our thoughts & emotions without judgement or resistance is the beginning of getting to know ourselves; including our habits.
What if you’re already aware of your habits? The ones that serve you well, and the ones you’ve tried many times to break or get rid of. Perhaps they were your new years resolutions last year. Did you start out with a hiss & a roar, but as the days, weeks and months passed, the momentum fizzled out, and you were back where you started. Emma will share practical tools & techniques, tiny tweaks & adjustments that you can integrate into your daily routine immediately to break those unwanted habits; and create new ones.
Bring your pen & notebook.
